Textile raw materials are divided into three types.
1. Natural fiber: Fiber that grows naturally on animals or plants and generally has good comfort. Compatible with the human body, beneficial for physical health. But it has poor durability, and if not handled properly, it is easy to fade and shrink. If the maintenance is not good, it is prone to mold and cavities, and the price is expensive. Generally, pure natural fiber fabrics are mostly used for high-end bedding.
2. Chemical fibers: divided into two types: artificial fibers and synthetic fibers. It is made by utilizing natural substances through chemical and mechanical processing. Poor comfort, abundant resources, and affordable prices, but with good strength, not easy to break, not moldy, and not infested with cavities.
3. Blended fibers: Blended fibers are made by mixing some natural fibers and some chemical fibers together. The common polyester cotton (T/C fabric) is made of blended fibers, which can not only utilize the comfort characteristics of natural fibers, but also the durability of chemical fibers, and have the characteristics of low cost and bright colors. Generally, mid to low-end bedding is woven from blended fibers and then printed and dyed into fabric.
